Divine love

Divine love

Seated on a beautiful green hill beside a tranquil blue sea, Jesus shares a powerful message. “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:43-44). Think about it. Jesus tells us that when we love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, it identifies us as children of God. This sort of love is not human; it’s divine. God demonstrated this love. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). How can we demonstrate this type of love? “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (Romans 5:5). As God’s children, He needs us to be vessels of His divine love so the world can see who He is. Ask God for his divine gift of love so you can love like He does. Not only will it transform your life, but also the lives of others – friends and enemies. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Mat5v44-45, https://bit.ly/Rom5v8, https://bit.ly/rom5-5 (Nicky B)
