Did you know there was one thing “not good” in God’s creation? When He completed His work, “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Yet, there was one exception: “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18). Creation was only complete when Eve was formed as Adam’s companion, establishing God’s divine blessing—marriage. Today, as my wife and I celebrate 33 years together, I reflect on this incredible gift. Love and companionship are truly divine. But not all experience this in human marriage. Some never find a spouse, while others lose theirs. Yet, every joyful marriage we witness offers a glimpse of something even greater—our ultimate union with Jesus. “Let us rejoice and be glad…For the wedding of the Lamb has come” (Revelation 19:7). This eternal relationship with Christ brings a love and joy beyond anything we could imagine, beginning the moment we give our lives to Him. We were never meant to walk alone.
