All that I need

All that I need

Would you ever say, “I have all that I need”? Most of us wouldn’t. We always feel we need more. To be in a state where we don’t need anything else would be incredible. It would mean we are content and at peace. But how can we reach this state? Would a good job and lots of money fulfill all our needs? What if we had perfect health and good looks—would that be enough? Or being famous and liked by everyone? Yet countless people have all these things and still feel like something’s missing. David gives us the simple answer: “The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” (Psalms 23:1).This is a mindset shift. Consider a sheep. It doesn’t have a storehouse of food. It doesn’t compare itself to other sheep. It’s not scrolling through other pastures wishing it had more. It simply trusts the shepherd to lead it to what it needs—food, water, safety. It’s not what we need it’s who we need. If God is our shepherd—our guide and carer—we truly lack nothing. Today, let’s pray to have the trust and peace of David: The Lord is my shepherd, I have all that I need. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa23v1 (Craig B)
