A simple thing like being able to see God’s creation is an amazing feat. To think of the unbelievable blessing it is for all of us to have been created by God in this very time and moment so that we may experience everything He has laid out before us. This thought came to me, being someone who has worn glasses for most of my life. I recently went for a run with my glasses instead of contact lenses and out of curiosity, I lowered my frames. What is usually a crystal-clear world turned into a blurry scene and as I quickly adjusted my glasses back on my face I sighed in relief to once again see this amazing creation God has made for us. The very first words of the Bible, Genesis 1:1, says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” and what a pleasure it is to simply be able to see everything He’s made. The next time you’re outside, take a moment to reflect that since the beginning it has been God’s intention for us not only to exist in His beautiful creation, but to also see it in all its glory—and what a blessing that is.
