The life

The life

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25). Few statements are more confronting, or more exciting. Since the dawn of time, humanity has sought the elixir of life. But Jesus doesn’t offer a potion, He offers Himself. “I am the resurrection and the life.” He makes two staggering claims. He is the resurrection, through Him we overcome death. And He is the life, not just eternal life, but the life of eternity available now. “I have come that you may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). Jesus offers not only to change our future (eternity), but to transform our present (abundance). To the one who believes, life begins now. He says, “My peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27). It’s not fragile peace—it’s His peace. And His joy is no different: “That My joy may be in you… and your joy may be full.” (John 15:11). Resurrection is not just a future hope. It is present renewal. What part of your heart feels lifeless? Jesus offers real, resurrecting power today. Ask Him to breathe life into that place.
