What are the odds of you existing? In the lottery of life the odds of the sperm-egg combination making you is 1 in 400 trillion. And then multiply that by the odds of your parents meeting and existing and all the generations before them. The odds are so astronomically small that many scientists and philosophers describe it as effectively zero, yet here you are. One calculation puts the odds of you existing at about 1 in 10²,⁶⁸⁵,⁰⁰⁰ – that’s a 10 followed by 2.7 million zeros. Yet, you are a reality. That’s because it’s not a lottery. You are a divinely chosen gift of God. “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us” (Ephesians 1:4). That’s amazing, but the verse doesn’t end there. Why did he choose me? He “chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes”. We were chosen for a purpose, to reflect God. A purpose only possible in Christ. You shouldn’t exist…but you do. And that should mean something. Your life is the result of impossible odds—and yet it’s real. So the question shifts from “What are the odds?” to “What will I do with this miracle?” Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Eph1v4 (Craig B)
