Growing up, we all loved to play games that involved finding things. Whether it was hide and seek or participating in a treasure hunt. As we grow older, it becomes quite the opposite; we tend to hate having to look for things, and we often want things instantly. We lose the joy of seeking something. In Matthew 6:33, we read: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” It is very important to take note of the word “seek” at the start of the verse. To seek God’s kingdom, we need to live a life actively looking for God in all that we do. We have to live a life devoted to God in love and faith. In Psalms 9:10, we read: “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you”. Look around, look for God. Seek him and you will find a joy beyond imagining.
