God’s Master Plan

God’s Master Plan

What’s your master plan for your life? Whether you have one or not, God has a master plan for the earth. “As truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD” (Numbers 14:21). God’s master plan is to fill the earth with his glory. But what does this mean? While God’s glory can be glimpsed in a sunset or flower or newborn child, it’s far more than this. Moses, after seeing God turn water to blood, sticks to snakes, and even part a sea, asks God to show him his glory (Exodus 33:18). Like what more does he hope to see? And so God puts Moses in a rock crevice ready for the big reveal. Yet, Moses doesn’t see anything. “And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth” (Exodus 34:6). Moses doesn’t see, he hears God describe his character. God’s glory is his character – who he is. God’s master plan is to fill the earth with his character and the only way he can do that is through people. Your glory doesn’t come from what you own or do or achieve, but from who you are. Let God develop his character in you and be a part of God’s master plan.
