Whenever I talk to my gran, I am blown away by how she remembers every detail of my life. And not just my life, but all of her 17 grandchildren’s lives, and her children, and all of her friends. Even details about people she may have only met a couple times. It feels so special when someone deeply knows who you are and remembers all the things about you. It made me think about this verse: “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” (Psalm 147:4). It is incredible that our mighty, indescribable God knows us individually. And he does not just know us in the sense that you might know a friend. But rather He has told us that “he adopted (us) as his own children. Now we call him “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15).
