Heaven touching earth

Heaven touching earth

I’m amazed by the diverse peaks of the Drakensberg, each reaching toward heaven in its own unique way. Some stand like mighty blocks, others rise as smooth domes, and some stretch like fingers toward the sky. Their names—Giant’s Cup, Garden Castle, Twelve Apostles—add to their intrigue and mystique. Each peak reminds us that a mountain is a sacred place, a meeting point of heaven and earth. Their diversity teaches a profound truth: there are countless ways to experience heaven touching earth. If we attune ourselves to this awareness, we will find endless moments and places where the spirit of heaven fills our earthly existence. Jacob discovered this in an unexpected place called Luz: “When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, ‘Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it.’ He was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven’” (Genesis 28:16-17). So as you move through today—even if you journey across flatlands—pause, look up, and be present. You may find that the mountain peaks calling you to union with heaven are closer than you think. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Gen28v16-17 (Matthew B)
