Breathe In-Out

Breathe In-Out

Take a deep breath In. Out. In. Out. Now as you breathe deeply in and out consider you are declaring the name of God in the very act of breathing – YaHVeH. In the Hebrew letters of the divine name is breathing -Yod Heh (breath out) Vav Heh (breath in). Breathing is so integral to life, yet how often do we take our breath for granted? We see it as something we control and not as a gift from God. In Genesis 2:7 we read “The LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”  Our bodies are called the temple of God because His Spirit lives in us (1 Corinthians 3:16). Yet how often do we use our God-given breath in anger, or to tell lies, or to gossip? “With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.” (James 3:9-10). Let us always give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the breath of life. Let us use our breath to speak words of praise, love, kindness, and hope. Breathe. In. Out. In. Out. How will you praise God today with his temple? 🌱 Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Gen2v7, https://bit.ly/1co3v16, https://bit.ly/jam3v9-10
