We spend millions on self-help books. We want answers to questions like: How do I find direction? How do I live a healthy life? How do I get wealthy? How do I live a long, happy life? Recently, while reading Proverbs 3, I realised God has provided answers to these questions. For DIRECTION: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take” (v5-6). For a HEALTHY LIFE: “Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones” (v6-8). For a WEALTHY LIFE: “Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine” (v9-10). For a LONG, HAPPY LIFE: “Wisdom offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honour in her left. She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying. Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly“ (v16-18). God has all the answers for you to live your best life.
