A house typically has many rooms. A room for preparing meals. A room for sleeping in. A room for ablutions. But there is one room every house needs, and while some think they don’t need it, it should be the biggest room of all. It’s the room for improvement. We are the house, and whatever else we might have created spaces for in our life, the most important space is our room for improvement. Making mistakes is not the issue; it’s not seeing our faults that is the problem. Recently our son walked around our house and returned with a long list of items we needed to improve if we wanted a better rental rate—many of the things we had never noticed. We had just got used to the issues and didn’t see them. We need to invite someone into our lives to see where we have faults and need improvement. We need to open the door and let Jesus in. “Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:31-32). Jesus is the ultimate house doctor. Not only will he help us see our issues, he will fix them for us too. Invite Jesus in and let him continually improve your life. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/luk5v31-32
