What is God’s will for me?

What is God’s will for me?

“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” How often have we repeated these words when singing or reciting the Lord’s Prayer? The Psalmist says, “Teach me to do Your will” (Psalm 143:10). We would love to live God’s will for our life, but what does this mean? What is his will for us? Is it a calling to preach, or teach, or work with the poor? These could be our callings for what we must do (Ephesians 4:11). But what is God’s will for me? What does he want for me? In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, God tells us his will for us. “Rejoice Always. Pray continually. In everything, give thanks. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” God’s will for you is a state of mind, a state of heart, and a relationship. It’s the three things we most desire every day. His will is for you to be thankful in every circumstance. To feel and show great joy and delight, and to be in constant communication with Him and our Lord Jesus. As any therapist will tell you, when you live a life of thankfulness and joy with deeply personal and meaningful relationships, you are living your best life ever. And this is God’s will for you. “Your will be done”. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1th5v16-18, https://bit.ly/eph4v11
