World War?

World War?

Once again, tensions in the Middle East are reaching a boiling point. As nations rain missiles down on each other, we wonder what will happen. Will this escalate into a full-scale war? Could superpowers and their nuclear weapons be drawn in? Watching the news can fill us with fear, but God warned us, thousands of years ago, of a great war involving Israel and all nations: “I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked… Half of the city will go into exile” (Zechariah 14:2). This war will precede Jesus’ return (Zechariah 14:4), and it will be a time of great anguish (Daniel 12:1). But God will care for His people: “Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by” (Isaiah 26:20). This time of trial will not last long. The Lord will return: “See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins” (Isaiah 26:21). And then, not only will war cease, but God will give the greatest gift—life everlasting: “Your dead will live, LORD; their bodies will rise” (Isaiah 26:19). Now is the time to turn to God and seek His care and the promise of eternal life. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Isa26v19-21, http://bit.ly/Zec14v1-4, http://bit.ly/Dan12v1-3
