The child’s behaviour

The child’s behaviour

What characteristics would your friends use to describe you? Would they say you are mindful of your actions and always strive to put everyone else’s feelings before your own? Or would they say you mainly focus on your own wants and needs? In Proverbs 20:11, we read: “Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right.” This verse tells us that our actions and behaviour reveal our character, even at a young age. God is telling us to be mindful of our actions and their impact on others. As the saying goes, “actions speak louder than words”,  and so our behaviour can easily drown out the words we say if they are not aligned. The wise writer of Proverbs encourages us to be conscious of our actions and behaviour and always strive to do what is pure and right, to be honest, and truthful when dealing with others and to treat them with kindness and respect. We can easily see when a child behaves badly, but how easily do we see when we are the child? Open Bible – https://bit.ly/pro20v11
