“A one-star review! They must be crazy!” This is how we felt recently when a guest at our AirBnB cottage left us a one-star rating. It’s really disheartening when you have tried so hard to make the cottage the best, most unique experience possible. Even though hundreds of other guests have given us five stars, it’s still disappointing when someone feels your cottage is only worth one star. In life, we all get ratings, whether for online courses, videos we upload, or exams we write. Maybe sometimes the reviews are deserved, but it still hurts. But imagine standing before God for a review of your life. If we are honest, we know this is the time in life when we definitely deserve a one-star review. “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23). But God looks at us and gives us a five-star rating. What? Not because of what we have done but because of what Jesus has done for us. “Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins” (Romans 3:24). Wow. What an undeserved blessing. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Rom3v23-24
