We found ourselves at a nursery this past weekend, looking for a new creeper vine to plant on our terrace. As rookie gardeners, we didn’t know much about the nuances of plant and pot selection. The friendly staff explained that if we want the vine to reach the height we require, we must select a pot deep enough for the roots to flourish. A small pot with the same plant does not deliver the same outcome. So, it’s not the plant that is the limiting factor, but the pot it is placed in. How often do we find ourselves doubting God’s abundance and blessings when we are the limiting factors? The time we intentionally spend with Him in meditation and with others in fellowship helps enlarge our pots, allowing His roots to grow ever deeper and deliver the abundant life He has in store for us. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh15v5 (Jeremy G)
