2Co 5v17 – It’s your truth

In our modern world, phrases like “It’s all relative,” “Your truth,” and “Your identity” are commonly used. They reflect a perspective that everything is subjective and open to personal interpretation. But there’s a fundamental flaw in this viewpoint: the concept of relativity is meaningless without an absolute reference point. As a programmer, I often write code that specifies the ‘relative’ positioning of elements in relation to something that is absolute. Without the absolute reference, ‘relative’ positioning is chaotic and directionless. The same is true in our lives. Without an absolute, life becomes chaotic and directionless, like a ship without a compass, adrift on an endless sea. We float aimlessly on this rock called Earth without origin, purpose, or identity. But, the Bible offers an absolute. It tells us that our true identity is given by God. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). In Jesus, we are not left to define ourselves by shifting cultural norms or our own flawed perceptions. Instead, we anchor our identity in the absolute truth of God and His character. This doesn’t restrict us; rather, it frees us to become the fullest expression of who we are meant to be. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/2Co5v17 (Johsua B)
