Isa 61v10 – Waiting for the wedding

Exciting! An invitation to attend a wedding of a close friend. An opportunity to enjoy this ultimate celebration of love. With everyone seated and the soft music weaving an air of excitement and anticipation, we await the bride’s arrival. What will she be wearing? How resplendent will she look in her beautiful dress? We know how much thought and love will have gone into her dress. It’s an exciting moment. The music changes. The bride is arriving. We stand. The doors open…the moment is here. The exciting news is we do not need to wait for a wedding to enjoy this special moment. We can rejoice today. Because, as a bride is dressed so beautifully, so our Heavenly Father wants to clothe you today in the most beautiful clothing of all. “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” (Isaiah 61:10). Wow. What incredible clothing. Clothes of salvation and righteousness. Clothes that make us look perfect to God, covering all our imperfections. Wow. Clothes that save us from death itself. Wow. The door is open. The moment is now. You are the bride. Open Bible –,
