Est 4:14 – It’s your time

She was a young girl living in captivity under a foreign ruler. Yet amazingly, she ends up winning a beauty competition resulting in her becoming queen. Her name is Esther. However, soon after this unlikely occurrence, her fellow captives are suddenly threatened with annihilation. She has to make a choice. Remain quiet and let the genocide happen or step forward and try and save her nation but reveal her own background and risk her life. It’s a scary time. Esther’s uncle sends her a message – “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). God works in and through all of us. You may not be royalty, but your impact can be as huge in someone’s life as if you were. We are all given skills and positions of some kind – whether it be the ability to make a connection for someone, or simply help draft an email. Whether it be passing on a valuable insight or paying for something that will make a difference. When it’s in your power to act for the good of others, it’s such a time for you. Open Bible –
