2Pe 1:3 – The Maestro

Have you ever listened to a musician play a piece of music so skillfully that you were just in awe? Have you ever wished to somehow have this skill transferred into your brain? Yet, we know it takes both incredible talent and thousands of hours of practice to become a musical maestro. Our calling to follow Jesus’ example is even more impossible no matter our resolve or years of trying. However, God offers us a way to achieve the impossible. “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” (2 Peter 1:3). God wants to give you not just a brain transfer but a heart and soul transfer too, through His divine power. It’s not thousands of hours of trying that will make you perfect, but Jesus at work in you. Stop trying to be perfect in your own strength and invite Jesus to transform you and discover the life God offers you.
